Again!
I’m at 18 weeks and 131 pounds. I haven’t been as good at taking a weekly picture as I’d like to have been this time around, but I’m committing to it from here on out. We did get a scale that automatically updates our weight to the internet so I’ll be able to track my weight gain a little bit better this time around. We find out if it’s a boy or a girl on...

38 Weeks
I’m 153 pounds, 1 cm dilated and 80% effaced. I’m feeling pretty great still, my back is super sore and I get tired out pretty easily but other than that it’s hard to believe I’m so close.
37 Weeks
152 pounds this morning and I’m technically full term with only 5 weeks left at the very most. At my last check-up the doctor let me know the baby’s head is sitting right on my cervix and is ready to come out, although he’s right under my ribs as well, so I think he’s just filling up any space that I have available and hasn’t necessarily dropped. I’ve been...

34 Weeks
147 pounds, I’ve been gaining steadily at a pound a week and I now officially have an outie bellybutton. The baby really could come at any point now, but I’m hoping it will be a couple weeks late. We’ve been making a few cosmetic changes to the house that needed to be taken care of before a baby moves in, and I don’t think we’ll have an appropriate place to put...
31 Weeks
144 pounds this week. I’m loving needing the extra calories during girl scout cookie season. I hope they got their peanut butter from a reputable source. I’ve created a couple of registries at buybuybaby.com and babiesrus.com, but I really don’t feel like I even scraped the surface of what I’ll need. Other than the furniture, I literally only have 3 shirts, 5 diapers...

30 Weeks
I’m 143 this morning and 3/4 of the way to a baby. We’re starting to get the baby stuff in order, we’ve made a couple of registries and the nursery is slowly coming together. We installed 3 Ikea floating lack shelves in the nursery above where the dresser/changing table will go. Though when I mentioned this to one of my friends, she was shocked that I would gamble with hanging...

143 pounds, I’m starting to get pretty uncomfortable but I’m hoping it’s just the growth spurt that the baby seems to be going through. My belly feels way too big for my skin, my legs are swollen and my back constantly aches. Of course it doesn’t help that Kekrops chooses the most inconvenient spot to sleep so I have to squeeze in around him and I wake up with a kink in...
28 Weeks
I’m gaining weight pretty steadily now, I’m at 140 this morning. Kekrops has been doing a great job of preparing us for sleepless nights lately, I’m not certain what has gotten into him, but he sleeps all day long from about 8:30 when we leave for work in the morning until whatever time Daryn gets home from work, which has been around 11 this week. And then he stays up all night...
27 Weeks
I’m 137 this morning and have about 3 more months to go. I’m going to start making more of an effort to actually eat healthy. I’ve never been a huge sugar eater, but lately it’s all I find myself eating. I finished off an entire bag of valentines sweethearts over three nights. There were supposed to be 14 servings in that bag. And that was after having a donut for a...
26 Weeks
I’ve gained two more pounds this week and I’m now weighing in at 137. We spent the weekend in Las Vegas and for the most part I felt unaffected by being pregnant down there. I was worried I wouldn’t have much fun, but the in-n-out burger and the milk shake from blt burger, along with hanging out with Bob, Ginny, Stephenie, Byron, Derek, Lee, Pat, Joe, Jim and Shannon, made the...

25 Weeks
135 this morning, I’m noticing my weight gain has a tendency to come in spurts and I wonder if it corresponds specifically to any of the baby’s developmental periods. The best part of being pregnant has been the guilt free eating, and it’s so much more fun when it doesn’t seem to affect the amount of weight I gain. In recent years I haven’t been one to skimp on the...
24 Weeks
Still 135 this week. When I first got pregnant I was full of aspirations to expose my baby to a range of things while he’s still in me in the hopes that they’ll rub off on him. Like going to a lot of shows, eating super spicy food, playing the drums, learning a new language. Though I’m now hoping my little experiment proves to have no consequences, considering the fact that...
23 Weeks
I’m 135 this morning and, according to Daryn, should no longer be wearing horizontal stripes. Daryn has a history of not being very tactful around pregnant women, he once told a very pregnant friend that she looked like a watermelon in her pink and green shirt.
The baby’s been moving like crazy this week and frankly it has me terrified. Pregnancy didn’t really feel any...
22 Weeks
Weighing in at 131 this morning, I’ve some how managed the most modest weight gain of any of my past holidays. Fortunately, Daryn has discovered the antidote to my lack of appetite. I think I’ll be ten pounds heavier by the end of the week.
The baby has started moving a lot in the last couple weeks and I finally actually feel pregnant (as opposed to feeling like I just ate a huge...

20 Weeks
This week marks the halfway point! At 129 I’ve only gained a total of 4 pounds from my official pre-pregnancy weight. I’ve been feeling the baby move around a lot, not specifically what I imagine kicking feeling like, but more like a lot of pressure in one spot. He also seems to be responding to warmth, before I get in the shower in the morning, my stomach is fairly soft and flat,...
19 Weeks
At 130 this morning and I’ve got an obvious bump! Fortunately Michelle sent me her maternity jeans or I would have been showing up to work in my flannel pants this whole week.
18 Weeks
128 pounds this morning. By the middle of the day at work yesterday, after a bowl of cereal, a banana, a Top Pot maple bar and 3 slices of Pagliacci’s seasonal pear primo, I had to pop the fly on my jeans and my belly hasn’t gone down since. I think I have to say farewell to all of my pants with a regular waistband for the next several months.

17 Weeks
I’m back down to 126 pounds this week, but I think its just temporary. I’ve had horrible heartburn since Thanksgiving and I feel like there’s barely enough room to breath let alone eat. After a huge meal my stomach sticks out like I’m 8 months pregnant, so I don’t think it will be long before I’m showing more obviously all of the time.

I’m slowly putting on weight, at 127 pounds this morning. I’ve been feeling much better this week and finally have my appetite back, though there are still a lot of foods that don’t sound appealing to me at all.
I scheduled my next ultrasound, when we get to not find out what the baby is, for the 8th. I never thought I would have the patience to wait, but now that I’m...
14 Weeks
I’m at 126 pounds and have learned two more foods to add to my “never want to think about again let alone see or smell” list: roasted corn chowder (which, in retrospect, doesn’t sound like it was a very good idea to begin with) and my very own beloved Beecher’s mac n cheese.
13 Weeks
There’s a baby in me and I’m going to document it here. The first trimester is almost over, thankfully, and I’m looking forward to being able to open my fridge without retching at the scent of yesterday’s left-overs. I haven’t technically gained any weight yet, but my boobs have gotten huge (sorry, no photo documentation of this) and my belly is starting to take on...
